This Privacy Policy explains how Farm Khata (“the app”, “we”, “us”), operated by Nexify Infotech LLP, collects, uses and protects your information. By using Farm Khata you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Account details — your phone number and password (stored only as a secure one-way hash), and an optional name.
Location — your district/state or GPS location, if you choose to provide it, to show local market prices and time reminders.
Your business records — the entries you log: batches, plots, feed, weight, medicine, expenses, harvests, sales, daily buying/selling and the amounts involved.
Voice audio — only when you use voice entry, and only for as long as it takes to turn your words into text (see section 4).
Basic technical data — minimal information needed to run the service securely (for example, to apply fair-use rate limits). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

3. How we use your information

To provide the app and keep your records for you.
To calculate your profit, estimates, and best-time-to-sell guidance.
To send vaccine/deworming and other reminders you set.
To show market prices and information relevant to your area.
To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Voice (speech-to-text)

Voice entry is powered by our own self-hosted speech system running on our servers. When you speak, the audio is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, converted to text, and the resulting text is saved as your entry. Your audio is not sent to any third-party company, and it is not retained after transcription.

5. How we store and protect your data

Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Each customer’s data is isolated so you can only ever see your own records, enforced at the database level.
The app connects to the database as a least-privilege user; passwords are stored only as secure hashes; secrets are kept off the app and on the server only.
We keep regular backups to protect against data loss.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

We share your data only with service providers that help us run the app (for example, server hosting, and — in future — an SMS provider for one-time passwords), strictly to provide the service, and under appropriate confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your data.

7. Your rights & choices

In line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), you can:

Access and correct your information.
Delete your account and data — request this by writing to support@nexify.co.in and we will delete your account and personal data (except anything we must keep by law) within a reasonable time.
Withdraw consent for optional data such as location.
Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (section 10).

8. Data retention

We keep your records for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service, and delete them on request (subject to any legal retention requirement).

9. Children

Farm Khata is intended for adults running a business and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
